Adverse Health Effects

According to the World Health Organization, 7 million premature deaths are caused by air pollution. Air pollution has been linked to diseases and conditions like:

  • heart disease
  • stroke
  • lung disease (COPD)
  • lung cancer
  • respiratory infections

Who's to Blame?

Both human and natural activities cause air pollution: 

  • Household products and product ingredients can pollute indoor air. 
  • Many types of common industrial activity can cause polluted outdoor air
  • Volcanos, forest fires, dust storms, and plant pollen also can cause polluted outdoor air.
